Vicarage Field Caravan Park Allonby – Private holiday Park in Allonby

Do You Accept Touring Caravans or Tents?
No, We unfortunately have no facilities for touring caravans, tents, campervans and the like. we are exclusively a privately owned static caravan site.

No, we do not possess the relevant license to be able to rent out caravans therefore all of our caravans are privately owned. It is also illegal for owners already on site to rent out their caravan.

Once you have purchased your caravan you own it and it is yours to do with as you please, it can stay on the caravan site as long as it’s in good order. All we ask is that your caravan and pitch are kept tidy to help us uphold the beauty of the park and its surroundings.

Once you have bought your caravan it is yours forever. Unlike some parks we allow caravans of all ages to stay on site, so as long as your caravan looks tidy and is well maintained it can stay for many years to come. Our only rule is if you wish to sell your van once it is over the age of 15 it must be sold ‘off site’, we feel this is a necessary trade off between upholding the appearance of our site whilst still allowing you to enjoy your holiday home stress free, knowing you have your place guaranteed Vicarage Field.

We have an annual ‘Site Fee’ that covers your water bill and all of the maintenance and costs associated with the everyday running of the park, which is one of the lowest in the area. The Electric is individually metered and the gas is bottled so just pay as you go with that. Finally there are annual costs such as insurance and gas safety checks but that’s all – we aim to be as transparent as possible so there are no hidden fees or surprise payments, we are here to help so if you have any further questions don’t hesitate to ask.

Yes, from start to finish you deal with one of the family. The site is owned by Philip, Wendy and eldest son Jamie Hanley. Philip does the day-to-day paperwork whilst Jamie sees to the site maintenance. Wendy is our informal gardener – always keeping a fresh supply of beautiful flowers. There is also Dean, the middle son, who helps with the accounts all the way from Japan, after becoming a resident there a few years ago. Finally there’s Tyler, the youngest son, who sorts out the website when he’s not conducting trains up and down the Cumbrian Coast.

We operate a 12 month holiday license, this means you can come and go as you please and spend as much time as you wish here all year round, but it is illegal for you to live in your caravan.

Every park has rules but we try our best to keep ours as straightforward and reasonable as possible. For example we ask that you keep your furry friends on short leads whilst on the caravan park – for their own safety and others. In general if you are respectful of your neighbours and the site you’ll fit right in!

Yes we are proud to be a member of the British Home & Holiday Parks Association (BH&HPA) for 11 years, who insist on a high standard of park ownership and operation. For more information click here to see their website.
