TRANSPORT AND ROAD LAYOUT
As part of the redevelopment, a new road layout
will be introduced.
Situated opposite Barking Railway and Underground Station, Vicarage Field is in a prime location and benefits from excellent public transport accessibility links to Central London, with c2c links to Fenchurch Street and the District and Hammersmith and City lines.
- Access to car parking will be rationalised, reducing congestion in the surrounding area and tying in with a new emerging station quarter masterplan
- Integral to the scheme is the improvement of St Awdry’s Road which will be upgraded to allow residents easier access to Ripple Road, opening up St Awdry’s Road and removing the dead-end
- Improvements to the safety and the physical environment of St Awdry’s Walk
